Our client Connect The Trade, based in the UK, is a portal committed to helping the Trade find the workers they need to complete their projects on time and without additional staffing fees.
Objective
Their main aim was to help employers cut out the middleman and chat directly with interested candidates, leading to big time and cost savings!
The Challenge
Our client wanted to tap the emerging market by creating a platform that connects skilled job seekers with the relevant employers. The construction industry in UK is giant and creating one reliable source for all professional needs is itself a challenge.
They wanted to build a portal and native mobile apps for the construction industry that provides a platform to tradesmen for showcasing their skills, find jobs and get paid. Companies should be able to post jobs and view tradesmen profile and communicate using in-app messaging.
And, we helped them build a marketplace in the form of recruitment app and website. Yes, the challenge wasn’t easy to overcome. There were hitches like simple UI and interactive UX, data security, skills matches, location accuracy, social integration, and so on…
Our Approach
Our client got in touch with us through Upwork in October 2015. They had a business idea and we had skills and implementation strength. Together we build an awesome recruitment app and website.
We were constantly in touch with them and have had frequent online and offline meetings to understand their exact requirement. We came up with wireframes and PSDs which were almost replica of their imaginations with added Solulab flavor.
The MVP was released in just TWO months, December 2015. And, a full-fledged functional website and app were launched in another four months, in April 2016.
