Smart Parking Application is a project we took up for a private company, based in Canada, planning to deploy smart parking solutions for their vast commercial area for efficient and smooth traffic and vehicle management.

Our client with the Smart Parking Management solutions wanted to help users to track and manage parking spots across their commercial premises.

With the help of data from IoT sensors, users should get precise guidance of available parking spots through an application, well in advance.

Geolocation based smart firmware helps to discover the closest parking location.

Timer function associated with each device must calculate the time utilized by a particular car and charge them accordingly directly through the application.

The Challenge

The accuracy of reading from the Ultraviolet (UV) sensor and Infrared(IR) sensor to precisely detect the presence of the car.

Integration of Real-Time Clock (RTCDS3231) through I2C communication to track time without delay.

ESP8266 will be responsible to communicate with the server through the GSM module using AT commands.
