IoT in Healthcare Success Story of Smart Health Monitoring App

A real-time and smart health monitoring app to monitor blood glucose levels of diabetics for several days by taking readings at regular intervals

The Internet of Things (IoT) has unlocked many possibilities in healthcare: when connected to the internet, standard medical devices can collect vital data, enable remote care, give additional insight into current trends, and assist patients to have more control over their lives and treatment. IOT-based smart health monitoring app helps to calculate various body parameters and send data of the procedure instantly without much delay.

Business Overview

Business Overview

Our client is based in London, UK. We collaborated with “Jarvis” who wanted to implement IoT for Smart continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pens.

The main purpose of our client was to help diabetics to constantly monitor their blood glucose levels for a few days at a time, by taking readings at regular intervals.

Another important objective was to create a Smart CGMs that will send all data on blood glucose levels on various platforms like Android, ios and on different devices like mobile phones, laptops, tablets and smart watches allowing the wearer to conveniently check their information and detect trends.

The Challenge

Our challenge was to create something like Eversense or Freestyle Libre which sends data on blood glucose level to an app on various platforms like iOS and Android, and also on different devices like phones, tablets, smart watches, etc for several days at a time.

It was a difficult task to make sure all of the physical devices that need to stay connected with each other is limitless without compromising the rate at which data can be transferred.

Another challenging task was to develop a smart health monitoring app in such a way that it allows for remote monitoring by caregivers, which includes the parents of diabetic children or relatives of elderly patients.

Our Approach

We started working on this project since December 2018. We ensured that every customer who uses this app has a sense of security while operating this app. We believe that with the power of innovation and technology people can not only survive with diabetes but can also live a happy and peaceful life with the help of long-term continuous glucose monitoring system.

Patients safety and care

Track health using wearables and other devices like asthma tools and heart monitors to provide overview of cholesterol levels, BMI, blood pressure, body temperature and many other things

Data security

Data security

Complete security of patient information is taken care of including protection from malware and the other activities of hackers, crackers and other cyber criminals

About App

  • Tether is an app for Smart continuous glucose monitoring (CGM)

  • Main purpose of this app is to help diabetics to continuously monitor real-time glucose reading for several days at a time, by taking readings at regular intervals.

  • With the help of IoT technology the daily health-related data can be used for preventive care by spotting any problems before they develop a chronic disease.

Results – A journey from Ideas to Success

It was possible to analyze the data in real-time to develop understanding for improved diagnosis and treatment
