Best and Safest Crypto Exchanges to Buy

Understanding cryptocurrencies may be difficult on its own, and if you’re new to crypto trading, choosing the appropriate platform to buy and sell popular commodities such as bitcoin, ethereum, and litecoin can be much more difficult.

Most cryptocurrency exchanges also include staking incentives (for holding a crypto asset for a certain length of time), margin trading, crypto trading tools, and other services.
We’ve prepared a list of the top cryptocurrency exchanges for buying and selling bitcoin assets. Continue reading to discover the best choice for you.

What are the features important to look at when deciding on an exchange?

Authenticity and safety

It is critical to research to ensure you are selecting a reputable and safe site. The early example of Mt. Gox and the most recent breach of Coincheck serve as significant cautions to potential cryptocurrency investors to investigate the security protocol of the exchange.
The responsibility for preventing scams in the bitcoin market rests on the exchanges. And that is where tokens come in handy. It is the duty of exchanges, with the assistance of tokens, to prevent this fraud.

Method of purchase

The process of buying bitcoin differs depending on the platform. Some exchanges need bank transfers for deposits, while others allow PayPal, credit and debit cards, and Bitcoin for purchases.

If you do not have any cryptocurrencies before joining an exchange, you must choose a platform that takes fiat money to access the market. It is also essential to consider how long it takes to execute a transaction, and some systems execute transactions immediately, while others may take days or weeks.

Supported tokens

Most exchanges support Bitcoin and Ethereum, but cryptocurrency investors understand that this is just the tip of the iceberg. There is a considerable difference in the cryptocurrencies backed by various exchanges; certain platforms, such as Binance, trade a large list of altcoins, while Coinbase only trades four main cryptocurrencies.

Choose an exchange or exchanges that support any cryptocurrency tokens you want to purchase, regardless of your risk tolerance. These exchange rates are affected by indicators like as 24-hour volume and market capitalization, which should be kept an eye on.

Knowing your platform

Having an awareness of the platform you are going to trade on is always a safer option. Mainly there are three types of exchanges for crypto.

The two very common names are Binance and Coinbase for purchasing and trading cryptocurrency. Every transaction performed by the user on any platform comes with a cost.

Some P2P exchanges work in a close-knit manner. One good example is Cointal. Here, both buyers and sellers are in direct communication and are in full agreeability for every transaction.

Such exchanges not only maintain a safe and trustless mechanism for trading crypto but also assist in reducing network congestion.

“Dealing on a P2P basis helps eliminate any difficulties and problems that may emerge from conventional exchanges,” says Cointal CEO Mohammed Imad.

Brokers like AVA Trade establish prices, and purchasers may acquire cryptocurrencies via the platform.

Structure of fees

Transaction fees and fee structures differ across exchanges, which should be considered while choosing a bitcoin exchange.

Functionality and user interface

One of the essential elements for the typical bitcoin investor is the user interface and functionality. Whether you are a seasoned cryptocurrency trader or purchasing bitcoin for the first time, a straightforward interface and a positive user experience make user activities on the exchange more informed and efficient. The user experience is subjective, and various interfaces will appeal to different individuals.

However, the exchanges with the “best” user experiences will witness the most increase in transaction volume over several years. Because its user base primarily determines the value of an exchange, exchanges may increase their user base and transactions by improving their user experience.

Differentiating between a Crypto Exchange and a Crypto Wallet

A wallet is intended for the secure storing of your cryptocurrency. An exchange is intended to make it simple and fast to purchase and sell bitcoin. A wallet secures your private keys, while you give the exchange with your private keys when you utilize an exchange. The exchange will then serve as your custodian.

How do you buy cryptocurrency?

You create an account with one of these exchanges, deposit money, and then “swap” your USD or fiat cash for the cryptocurrency of your choice. Some cryptocurrencies only trade in particular pairings, so you may have to buy something like Bitcoin and then swap it for another token, depending on what you want to purchase.

Top Best Safest Cryptocurrency Exchanges in 2021

1) Coinbase

Coinbase also provides investors and traders with guaranteed custodial wallets in which to keep their money. They offer data breach and hacker insurance. Your money is held in FDIC-insured bank accounts, which is essential since customers have reported hacked accounts and monies being taken. Coinbase custodial accounts are extremely handy for novice customers who are just starting, but Coinbase controls the private keys to the coins, not the investor.

Pros:

Coinbase offers a wide range of cryptocurrency options. It also features a very simple user interface and a high liquidity level.

Cons:

Fees may be significant if you do not use Coinbase Pro. Furthermore, the user has no control over the wallet keys.

2) Gemini

Gemini provides a broad range of cryptocurrency trading services to both consumers and organizations. Traders may use various platforms, such as the Gemini online exchange, the Gemini iOS and Android mobile applications, the Gemini Active Trader platform, Gemini Fund Solutions, and institutional trading tools.

3) Crypto.com

Crypto.com is one of the biggest and most rapidly expanding cryptocurrency exchanges. It is headquartered in Hong Kong, although it provides extensive assistance to clients in the United States.

You may now access over 90 tokens and coins globally, and 50 tokens and coins if you live in the United States. Furthermore, they provide competitive interest rates on their crypto savings accounts.

The one significant disadvantage is that it is now exclusively app-based; there is no desktop platform.

Pros:

A large number of currencies and tokens are supported. Weekly interest is paid on crypto savings. You may get a debit card that is connected to your account.

Cons

Fee structure is complicated. There is no desktop support, just app-based assistance.

4) Binance

A fantastic platform for investing in cryptocurrencies such as Cardano or Neo. Although not as user-friendly as other top platforms on our list, they offer one of the most comprehensive trading platforms available. They do have a good mobile app, but it’s not as user-friendly as one would like.

Binance.us is the platform’s US version, with fewer coins and tokens to invest in than the international version.

Pros

A large number of currencies and tokens are supported. Transactions are completed quickly. Fees are low.

Cons:

In comparison to the rest of the globe, the United States has few choices, and it is not accessible in all 50 states.

5) CEX.IO

According to its website, CEX.IO is a global crypto exchange based in London that supports dealers in more than 99 percent of the world’s nations, including 48 US states. You may also trade Bitcoin and over 80 other cryptocurrencies on the exchange.

Pros:

CEX.IO’s quick buy function (available exclusively for credit and debit card transactions), mobile app, staking incentives, and crypto-backed loans are open to all customers. However, more experienced traders may choose CEX.IO’s spot trading function (which allows you to place several kinds of crypto market orders) and margin trading accounts. Its aggregator and payment management services are available to institutions and companies.

Its maker fees vary from 0% to.016 percent, while its taker fees range from 0.1% to 0.25 percent. CEX.IO is also available on iOS and Android smartphones.

Cons

Transactions made with debit or credit cards at CEX.IO may be costly. You will be charged a 2.99 percent fee for deposits. Withdrawals made by US citizens using a Visa card incur a service fee of up to 3% plus an extra $1.20, as well as a commission of up to $3.80. Users of Mastercard may anticipate a service fee of up to 1.8 percent plus an extra $1.20. A fee of up to 1.2 percent + $3.80 is also charged.

It’s also worth noting CEX.IO’s pricing structure. The maker/taker schedule on the exchange is based on your 30-day trading volume. Maker orders cannot be executed quickly since no other charges are available to match them; nevertheless, taker orders reach instantaneously, according to CEX.IO.

6) Bisq

Bisq exchange was established in 2014. It was one of the earliest Decentralized Autonomous Organizations at the time (or simply DAO). One of the exchange’s founders said that one of the network’s objectives is to “keep the original spirit of Bitcoin alive.”
Bisq may now be featured on many lists of the top decentralized exchanges. This exchange is not without problems characteristic of decentralized exchanges, but it has emerged as a major participant in this industry.

Pros:

Bisq trading is secure and decentralized. As an arbitrator, there is certainly the potential of earning a living. There is a diverse range of crypto and FIAT currencies accessible. This platform is secure against theft and hacking. It has two-out-of-three multi-signature security. It does not need you to be validated by a central authority, it does not keep your money centrally, and it does not even own any of your information. Your money, transaction details, and private data are all stored locally on your system.

Cons:

Some users may find this platform challenging to utilize. It also has rather hefty fees.

What are Security Token Offerings?

Security Token Offering (STO)

Traditional real-world assets are devoid of a number of characteristics, including liquidity, divisibility, and accessibility. certain factors make certain asset classes less popular with individual investors and inappropriate for short-term trading.

Finding a possible buyer or seller within a budget is a tedious step in the buying and selling process for illiquid assets like real estate. After that, there is a drawn-out registration process, broker fees, and other costs that the buyer or seller must pay.

In this case, security tokens seem to be an innovative solution for each of these issues with conventional assets. These digital tokens give consumers better accessibility, a quicker settlement time, and increased asset liquidity.

Token investors feel more confident when government agencies are involved and adhere to stringent regulations. Because of this, it is anticipated that by 2030, the trading volume of security tokens will increase by more than $162 trillion.

In this blog, we will get to know everything about Security Token Offerings (STOs) and analyze the idea of security tokens. So, without any further ado, let’s get started!

What are Security Tokens offerings?

Security Token Offerings (STOs) are a method of fundraising where companies issue digital tokens, representing ownership in assets or a company, on a blockchain, similar to Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) but with the added benefits of blockchain technology.

STOs are comparable to initial coin offerings (ICOs), but the tokens issued in an STO are regarded as securities and are governed by financial authorities, meaning that they are intended to offer the same protections as conventional securities, like stocks and bonds.

Benefits of Security Tokens Offerings

Security tokens are digital assets that represent ownership or other rights in an asset, such as equity, real estate, or other forms of investment. These tokens are created through a process known as a Security Token Offering (STO), which provides a regulated and secure way to raise capital. Here are some of the key benefits of security tokens:

1. Regulatory Compliance

Security tokens are issued in compliance with regulatory frameworks, ensuring that the offerings adhere to legal standards. This compliance reduces the risk of legal issues and provides a level of trust and security for investors.

2. Enhanced Liquidity

Security tokens can be traded on various security token offering platforms, providing enhanced liquidity compared to traditional assets. This increased liquidity makes it easier for investors to buy and sell tokens, creating a more dynamic and accessible market.

3. Fractional Ownership

Security tokens allow for fractional ownership of high-value assets. This means that investors can purchase small fractions of expensive assets, such as real estate or fine art, making it easier for more people to invest in these markets.

4. Reduced Costs

The use of blockchain technology in security token offerings can significantly reduce the costs associated with issuing and trading securities. This includes lower transaction fees, reduced paperwork, and decreased administrative costs.

5. Transparency and Security

Blockchain technology provides a transparent and immutable ledger of all transactions. This transparency enhances security and trust, as investors can verify the authenticity and history of the tokens they are purchasing.

6. Global Access

Security token offerings provide global access to investment opportunities. Investors from around the world can participate in STOs, broadening the investor base and increasing the potential for raising capital.

7. Automated Compliance

Smart contracts can automate compliance processes, ensuring that all transactions meet regulatory requirements. This automation reduces the risk of human error and increases the efficiency of the compliance process.

8. Increased Market Efficiency

The tokenization of assets can lead to more efficient markets by reducing the barriers to entry and enabling faster and more secure transactions. This efficiency benefits both issuers and investors.

9. Diversification Opportunities

Investors can diversify their portfolios by investing in a wide range of tokenized assets. This diversification can help mitigate risk and increase potential returns.

10. Security Token Offering Services

Utilizing professional security token offering services ensures that the entire process of issuing and managing security tokens is handled by experts. These services include legal compliance, token issuance, marketing, and post-offering support.

Types of Security Tokens Offerings

There are three kinds of security tokens:

  • Asset-backed tokens
  • Equity tokens
  • Debt tokens

1. Aset-backed Tokens

Real-world assets including commodities, precious metals, or real estate are represented by asset-backed tokens. Depending on the asset it signifies, the token’s price changes in real-time. Investors may use these security tokens to use a variety of asset types to diversify their portfolios. You may divide your money, for instance, and put it into gold, silver, or oil tokens.

2. Equity Tokens

Equity tokens, as the name suggests, are shares of a publicly traded firm. To own a portion of businesses worth at billions or trillions of dollars, you may purchase these security tokens. In contrast to conventional stock exchanges, as soon as your payment is verified, the assets will be registered in your name on the blockchain. Additionally, firms can obtain money to grow their operations by selling equity tokens.

3. Debt Tokens

Security tokens known as “debt tokens” stand as substitutes for loans made by investors to businesses. In this case, the investor gets paid interest or a dividend in line with the amount given. Regarding these tokens, the borrower and lender have mutually decided upon the interest rate, interest payout schedule, and other relevant terms and conditions. Purchasers of security tokens also have the choice to select tokens with the best interest rate and features, such as daily interest distributions.

Security Tokens vs. Utility Tokens

Here are the differences between security tokens and utility tokens:

Criteria Security Tokens Utility Tokens
Definition Signify ownership stakes in real-world assets Grant access to specific features within a platform
Investment Investors expect returns based on the asset’s performance Value is derived from their utility within the platform
Regulation Governed by securities regulations, such as STOs Regulatory status is often ambiguous and unclear
Legal Rights Provide holders with legal rights, including voting and profit-sharing Offer access rights and limited governance
Stability Generally more stable and less speculative in value Typically more speculative, influenced by market demand
Underlying Asset Supported by tangible assets with intrinsic value Value comes from their utility within the platform
Issuance Issued through regulated processes like STOs Commonly created through ICOs or TGEs

STO vs. ICO: Understanding the Differences

In the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency, Security Token Offerings (STOs) and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) are two prominent fundraising methods. While both are used to raise capital for blockchain projects, they have distinct differences in terms of regulatory compliance, investor protection, and the nature of the tokens offered. Here’s a detailed comparison of STOs and ICOs:

Security Token Offerings (STOs)

1. Regulatory Compliance: STOs are regulated by financial authorities and must comply with securities laws. This ensures greater transparency and legal protection for investors.

2. Investor Protection: Due to regulatory oversight, STOs offer enhanced security and protection for investors, reducing the risk of fraud and scams.

3. Token Type: Security tokens represent ownership in an asset, such as equity, debt, or real estate. They often come with rights to dividends, profit sharing, or voting.

4. Market Accessibility: STOs are generally more attractive to institutional investors due to regulatory compliance and perceived security, but this can also mean higher barriers to entry for smaller investors.

5. Fundraising Process: The process of launching an ICO involves significant legal and regulatory preparations, making it more complex and costly compared to an ICO.

6. Secondary Market: Security tokens can be traded on regulated exchanges, providing liquidity to investors, but this trading is subject to regulatory oversight.

CTA1

Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)

1. Regulatory Environment: ICOs operate in a relatively unregulated environment, which allows for quicker and simpler fundraising but comes with higher risks of legal issues and regulatory crackdowns.

2. Investor Risk: The lack of regulation in ICOs means there is less protection for investors, increasing the potential for fraud and scams.

3. Token Type: ICOs typically offer utility tokens, which provide access to a product or service within a blockchain ecosystem but do not represent ownership or investment in an asset.

4. Market Accessibility: ICOs are generally accessible to a wider range of investors, including retail investors, due to lower entry barriers and fewer regulatory requirements.

5. Fundraising Process: Launching an ICO is relatively straightforward and less expensive, involving the creation of a whitepaper and a token sale to raise funds.

6. Secondary Market: Utility tokens can be traded on cryptocurrency exchanges, providing liquidity, but these markets are often less regulated and more volatile than traditional securities markets.

Choosing between an STO and an ICO depends on various factors, including the nature of the project, regulatory considerations, and the target investor base. STOs offer greater regulatory compliance and investor protection, making them suitable for projects seeking institutional investment and long-term sustainability. ICOs, on the other hand, provide a faster and more accessible fundraising route, ideal for projects looking to quickly raise capital and reach a broad audience. Understanding these differences is crucial for both project creators and investors to make informed decisions to choose the best security token in blockchain technology.

What Qualifies As A Security? Howey Test Explanation

Tokenizing assets on the blockchain results in security tokens. However, what exactly do you view as security in the first place?

Generally, a set of legal standards and guidelines are used to determine if an asset meets the requirements to be classified as a security. This is especially true in the US within the Securities Act of 1933. The “Howey Test,” which was developed by the US Supreme Court in the famous 1946 case of SEC v. W.J. Howey Co., is the one that is most frequently used.

The Howey Test states that an asset is deemed a security if it satisfies the following requirements:

  • Investment of Money: Either money or another concrete or measurable item (like goods or services) is invested.
  • Common Enterprise: The investment has been made in a “common enterprise.” This typically indicates a relationship between the promoter’s and investors’ fortunes.
  • Expectation of Profit: Investors anticipate making money on their investments.
  • Efforts of Others: It is anticipated that the income would mostly originate from the labor of others. This usually indicates that the investor is depending on the management work or industry knowledge of an outsider, such as a promoter or business.

How Do STOs Work?

How Do STOs Work?

Launching a Security Token Offering (STO) involves a series of steps, broadly divided into six phases:

1. Preparation

The initial stage of an STO involves conceptual development and the selection of underlying assets. At this stage, a core team is formed, and advisors are appointed. The project’s whitepaper is drafted, detailing the chosen technologies and service providers. Capital requirements are assessed, and the target investor base is identified.

2. STO Design

During this phase, a corporate finance advisor is brought on board to determine the type of security, its structure, the duration of the offering, and valuations related to token issuance. A legal advisor is also appointed to manage investor requirements and regulatory compliance. Lockup periods for the tokens are set, and initial documentation, including a term sheet, is prepared.

3. Selection of Technology

The technical team selects a blockchain platform suitable for the project. A technology service provider is engaged to create the necessary digital security tokens. This provider also offers features for investors to complete their KYC/AML verification and provides a portal that supports crypto wallets.

4. Choosing Financial Service Providers

A reliable broker is appointed to manage the sale of securities, while a custodian is selected for safekeeping purposes. Transfer agents are onboarded to oversee the token issuance, and payment providers are chosen to support payment-related services during the capital-raising process.

5. Raising Capital

The project’s offering documents are shared with potential investors for review. Online marketing activities, including social media campaigns, promote the upcoming STO. Interested initial investors sign the offering documents and transfer funds to the issuer. Once this is complete, investors receive tokens in their wallets.

6. Token Listing

Token listing involves adding tokens to an exchange or trading platform. Token issuers complete the necessary documentation with the respective exchanges. A market maker is appointed to provide liquidity for the listed security tokens, ensuring a smooth trading experience for investors. Token issuers are also required to regularly publish reports to keep investors informed about the firm’s progress.

How To Participate In An STO? A Step-By-Step Guide

Purchasing securities is subject to legal restrictions and involves risk. Consult an authorized financial advisor before making investments.

In four easy steps, you may possibly participate in STO:

1. Find the Right STO for You

Investigate sites such as Securitize or STOmarket to find STOs in different sectors.

Importantly, don’t take shortcuts! Research the STO thoroughly:

  • Project Details: Read the whitepaper to understand the project’s goals, the underlying asset, and the token’s utility.
  • Team Expertise: Examine the history and experience of the team in related domains.
  • Token Economics: Examine the token supply, distribution strategy, and possible profits in token economics.
  • Underlying Asset: For asset-backed tokens, understand the asset’s value and potential risks.
  • Seek Guidance: Seek Guidance: To get a second perspective, think about speaking with a financial advisor who specializes in STOs.

2. Register on a Regulated Platform

Look for a platform with a good reputation that hosts the STO you’re interested in. You may compile a list of security token issuing platforms with the use of a website such as The Tokenizer. After locating a platform, finish the registration procedure by giving personal details and accepting the rules. It is required to undergo AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) checks.

3. Fund Your Account

Platforms typically support either fiat currencies (USD, EUR) or cryptocurrencies (ETH, BTC). Check the platform’s options before committing.

Transfer the necessary funds into your platform account based on the STO’s minimum investment amount.

4. Invest in the STO and Receive Your Tokens

When the STO goes live, use the funds in your account to purchase the desired amount of security tokens.

The security tokens will be placed into your platform wallet or an external cryptocurrency wallet that is compatible when your transaction is successful.

FAQs

1. What is the difference between an STO and an ICO?

An STO (Security Token Offering) involves issuing tokens that are backed by real assets, such as equity, debt, or real estate and are regulated by securities laws. This offers greater investor protection and transparency. An ICO (Initial Coin Offering), on the other hand, typically issues utility tokens that provide access to a product or service within a blockchain ecosystem and operate in a less regulated environment, which can lead to higher risks of fraud and scams.

2. How can I find reliable STOs to invest in?

To find reliable STOs, explore reputable platforms like STOmarket or Securitize, which list STOs across various industries. Thoroughly research each STO by reading the whitepaper, understanding the project’s goals and underlying assets, analyzing the token economics, and evaluating the team’s expertise. Consulting a financial advisor with experience in STOs can also provide valuable insights.

3. What are the steps involved in registering on an STO platform?

The registration process on an STO platform typically involves finding a platform with a good reputation, completing the registration by providing personal information, and agreeing to the platform’s terms. You will need to undergo KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, which require submitting your government ID, proof of address, and other necessary documentation.

4. What types of currencies can I use to fund my STO investment?

Most STO platforms support funding through both fiat currencies (like USD or EUR) and cryptocurrencies (such as ETH or BTC). It’s important to check the specific platform’s supported currencies and funding options before committing to an investment. Ensure you have the necessary funds available in your platform account based on the STO’s minimum investment amount.

5. How do I receive my security tokens after investing in an STO?

Once the STO goes live and you have used the funds in your account to purchase the desired amount of security tokens, the tokens will be deposited into your platform wallet. Some platforms may also allow you to transfer the tokens to a compatible external crypto wallet for added security and flexibility. Make sure to follow the platform’s guidelines for storing and managing your security tokens.

ICO Consulting 101 – Your Ultimate Guide Before Launching an ICO

What do you mean by ICO consulting?

The ICO business has grown to be one of the most important in the blockchain industry, and this is due to the large sums of money generated by businesses via ICOs.

However, only a small number of ICOs are successful. One of the reasons many ICOs fail is that their founders do not engage the services of experts. This is where ICO consulting or blockchain consulting services may help. These are businesses that assist individuals in effectively completing the ICO procedure.

Advantages of hiring an ICO Consultancy for a successful ICO

The greatest enthusiasm an entrepreneur receives is from shifting economic trends and technology, and if utilized correctly, it may propel their company to new heights. Since 2010, bitcoin and associated technologies have been among the most exciting developments, and Blockchain technology serves as the basis for cryptocurrencies. Aside from Bitcoin creation, Blockchain technology has enabled smart contract development, wallet development, ICO development, and other applications.

So far, the most attractive is ICO development for a business and private financier. This is because ICO development is used to raise cash by providing new cryptocurrency in exchange for financiers’ popular cryptographic money such as Bitcoin.

Let’s take a look at some of the advantages of hiring an ICO consultant:

Skilled ICO Developers

An ICO development firm is looking for the finest developers. Unlike individual ICO developers who only know one or two programming languages, the group of professional developers surpasses expectations in all programming dialects to provide ICO as per your objectives and fundraising needs. Furthermore, business experts guide defining these criteria for a more effective ICO.

Web development team

To show market legitimacy, an ICO website attracting investors and cryptocurrency traders is required. Although freelance web developers may provide attractive designs for your ICO website, the professional ICO development office understands the rules and required content to include on-site to generate a consistent and organic audience and attract prospective investors.

Digital Marketing

Digital marketing is a basic but important stage of ICO growth. Connecting with people and becoming a functional part of the Blockchain industry requires significant effort. It combines modern marketing techniques such as social media advertising, SEO, customer service, and off-page promoting to help businesses grow. Every one of these tasks is handled with care by an ICO development consulting firm.

Checklist before hiring an ICO development company

Experience

When selecting an ICO PR advisor, experience is an essential factor to consider. Because of advances in technology, you may quickly learn about an expert’s expertise by doing a simple Google search. You may also look at the candidate’s LinkedIn page, contact their references, and look at their portfolio. When assessing the expert, make sure they are knowledgeable about your area. For example, if you work in real estate, search for an ICO specialist specialising in that industry.

Advisors with extensive expertise understand how to resolve the numerous problems that an ICO project may face. They’ve learnt and collected a plethora of knowledge on overcoming various difficulties since they’ve worked on comparable projects in the past. As a result, they offer great solutions to the table that may improve the success level of your project.

Global Involvement

Blockchain technology has enabled different companies to capitalize on possibilities in both domestic and international markets. If your ICO is aimed at both domestic and foreign customers, the adviser can provide you with a lot of information on how to launch it. Such a professional will assist your project in navigating the legal and cultural difficulties of different nations. Remember that, although you want a large number of people to participate, your project should not violate any of the laws of the nations you’re targeting.

Network

A reputable adviser has connections with other relevant experts who can help your project. As a result, learning about a consultant’s relationships may be beneficial. Choosing a specialist with high-quality connections may help your project reach its goals more quickly.
Are you searching for crypto industry experts with relevant connections? If you answered yes, please discontinue your search and contact Tokenminds immediately. With many years in the business, the firm has established a reputation for providing high-quality consulting services in crypto marketing.

Examine the advisor's published reviews and testimonials

If a consultant provides the finest services, they will most certainly get rave evaluations from past customers. As a result, it’s critical to examine their websites to see what customers are saying. Check out independent sources like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for impartial feedback from past consumers.

A high number of negative complaints indicates that the adviser lacks an understanding of how to provide excellent service. Please avoid such consultants since they may not contribute anything to your ICO message plan.

Published material

A professional ICO adviser may provide educational material that assists individuals in learning about the cryptocurrency business. A quick look at their website or the LinkedIn page may help you learn more about the advisor’s material. Reading their blogs and publications may provide you with information about the advisor’s industry expertise. Furthermore, a competent adviser has the expertise and abilities to create compelling whitepapers and other professional documents essential in marketing an ICO. If a publication does research and creates interesting material, it indicates that they can contribute to your project.

Track Record

An adviser with a proven track record will assist your project in meeting its goals on time. So, it would be beneficial to learn how the crypto community rates the consultant. Blotted advisors may wreak havoc on your project since they may transmit negative things to your software. Additionally, such advisers may prevent your token from being listed on several exchanges. Project owners should contact crypto forums for information on a prospective advisor’s track record. Furthermore, your network may assist you in understanding how others see the individual in the issue.

Profile in the media

A respected adviser has a strong social media presence and is well-known in the community. As a result, project managers should review the consultants’ profiles to understand the information they publish and how communities respond to it. Paying attention to a professional platform, like LinkedIn, may assist you in evaluating the adviser.

Personality

Launching an ICO project isn’t easy since many details must be ironed out. If you employ an introverted adviser, you may not achieve your goals since the consultant may take a back seat and fail to bring out problems that need to be addressed. As a result, project managers should select a friendly demeanour who is always willing to give useful advice.

The adviser should meet with the project team, get to know them and provide advice on dealing with problems that may arise throughout the project.

To form a solid connection with your team, a great adviser must mix effectively with them. In addition, the adviser should be accessible and pleasant to all members of your company.

Projects handled by them

The number of projects handled by the advisors may provide insight into the consultant’s ranking. The results of such initiatives may assist you in understanding the kind of advisory services the consultant provides. If most of the projects on which they consulted accomplished their goals, you may think about employing such a consultant.

You should keep in mind that managing many projects isn’t the only criterion you should consider to assess the consultant. Remember that advising on too many projects simultaneously may degrade the quality of advisory services provided since one’s focus is split.

Conclusion

We hope that your ICO will be a success with the appropriate team. It is critical to maintain contact with your backers, offer transparency with deliverables, and, of course, continue to develop your fantastic product!

ICO Fundraising – The Advantages of Fundraising with an ICO

ICOs are becoming more and more popular day by day. There are reasons behind this fact. All parties are enjoying some or other benefit. Many of the perks for donors also apply to founders. At the very least, these advantages motivate more donors to select ICOs over conventional investment alternatives.

Even though ICOs have been around for five years, many people still don’t understand what they are, much alone investing in them to make some fast money.

A Regulatory Perspective on ICO Fundraising

Coinciding with the development of blockchain or distributed ledger technology (DLT), Initial Coin Offering or ICO has gained traction in the past three years as a means for companies to generate money using blockchain.

It is conceptually similar to crowdsourcing and a conventional initial public offering (IPO), with investors receiving tokens rather than shares in return for their investment money.

The critical distinction between an IPO and a private equity raise is that tokens do not immediately imply company ownership but often offer a different advantage to the buyer. Utility tokens are often restricted in quantity and essential to the issuer’s business model, granting the right to engage in the products or services provided by the issuer.

Other tokens may imply a right to – a voting right, a licence, a dividend, a property right, or a right to participate in the issuing company’s future success. Considering this case, the token issue is known as an STO (Security Token Offering) or a payment token in certain countries, such as Switzerland. However, in any case, this kind of token is likely to come under securities laws. However, because to the fledgling nature of regulation in the industry, none of these rights are usually protected.

The appeal of blockchain technology seems to be due to its openness and simplicity of use. For instance, many startups have opted to issue their tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. They do this utilizing the cryptocurrency Ether or their currency as a means of payment. This enables investors to buy and keep tokens from the comfort of their own homes without the need for costly brokers, agents, or advisers.

A genuine safety net for investing people is one of the most apparent issues with an unregulated or recently regulated sector. Because many blockchain businesses are worldwide and virtual in design, there is very little compensation available if investments fail or are found to be frauds.

Not much emphasis is being laid on the supervision of the quality and sustainability of many issuers entering the ICO market.

Many legislators are scrambling to catch up, and significant authorities such as the US Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) and the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) are already thinking outside the box to incorporate the ICO phenomenon into national legislation fairly and appropriately. One significant point of contention is how to classify the tokens produced, whether they should be subject to current securities regulations or classed as commodities or primary assets. The solution for this is dependent on the nature of the token.

This challenge in determining the actual nature of tokens extends to other vital areas, such as secondary exchanges and tax treatment. It will require considerable collaboration among central authorities on a worldwide scale to be resolved successfully.

In the accompanying study, we evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of ICOs, asking why they should be utilized instead of traditional types of capital raising and which businesses or business models they are best suited for. We also receive an update on current legislative developments from nine legal professionals from various but equally progressive countries worldwide, who provide their perspectives on how ICOs may best be policed on a national and supranational basis.

Finally, we examine secondary markets and how token gains should be handled when crystallized by ICO investors.

How do ICOs aid in liquidity?

Lack of cash is a frequent barrier for individuals searching for new investment opportunities. Several possibilities have been closed for many years due to a lack of funding.
ICOs can provide tremendous liquidity to investors. Moreover, the secondary market implies that real-time pricing is dependent on the project’s current worth.

How valuable is the decentralization of ICOs?

ICOs may be accessible to everyone, especially if the ICO accepts cryptocurrency. Most ICOs demand that the donor be able to transfer money in time to purchase.

Contributors can both invest and participate at any moment in an ICO. This is in contrast to conventional methods of startup financing, in which it is almost challenging to become an early investor unless you are in close touch with one of the founders.

Investing early is advantageous since contributors pay less by avoiding premiums. In addition, contributors may become early investors by paying attention to future ICOs and buying tokens shortly after the launch.

How do ICOs aid in easy funding?

Many initiatives struggle to get financing via conventional channels, particularly if they lack interest for one reason or another. Many initiatives struggle to get financing via conventional channels, particularly if they lack interest for one reason or another.Sometimes, this is simply due to location or the type of offering, which is especially the case for non-profits. Because of the easy financing processes of ICOs, any project may possibly get money.

How are ICOs the perfect fit for investment in cryptocurrencies?

Holders of cryptocurrencies are often reluctant to utilize their riches because they prefer not to convert it to fiat and pay taxes. This implies that cryptocurrencies continue to gain value, but individuals are unable to profit from them. Thus, ICOs are the ideal outlet.

More investors are becoming aware of the advantages of ICOs and, as a result, are searching for new projects to participate in. When considering an ICO as a means of funding your concept, keep in mind the benefits for both your company and investors.

ICOs are regarded as pioneering the democratization of wealth-generating possibilities

Any US citizen may purchase tokens. A token launch is not the same as an equity sale; the latter is governed by the 1934 Act, while the former is more akin to selling API keys.

While stocks can only be sold to so-called “accredited investors” in the United States (the 3% of people with a net worth of more than €1 million), the US could not limit the selling of API keys to accredited investors alone without destroying its IT sector. Thus, if tokens (such as API keys) can be sold to 100% of the American population, it represents a 33x increase in the potential US buyer base compared to conventional equity funding for a US startup.
Tokens may be traded globally through the internet (with a 20–25X increase in purchasers).

Token launches are usually global events, with digital money transfers arriving from all over the globe. New bank accounts receiving thousands of wire transfers from all over the world in minutes for millions of dollars would very indeed be blocked. At the same time, a token sale paid in digital currency is always open for business. Given that the United States accounts for just 4–5% of the global population, worldwide availability increases the possible customer base by a ratio of 20–25X.

Tokens have a liquidity premium (a time-to-liquidity enhancement of more than 1000X).
A token has a price that is set when it is sold, and that price floats freely in a worldwide market that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This is not the same as equity. While seed investor stock may take ten years to become liquid in an exit, a token can theoretically be sold in 10 minutes — but founders can and should cryptographically lock up tokens to prevent short-term speculation.

Whether you choose to sell or utilize your tokens, the time difference between 10 years and 10 minutes to obtain the choice of liquidity is up to 500,000X faster. Still, any gain in value is likely to be more significant and more sustained within a 10-year timeframe.

Because the time to liquidity is inversely proportional to the exponent of the compound annual growth rate, tokens would prevail anytime they are legally and technically viable. As a result, users may engage in new token offers with ease, allowing for quicker growth.
Tokens will decentralize the financing of technologies.

Because token launches may take place in any nation, the significance of raising funds in the United States in general, or Silicon Valley / Wall Street in particular, will decrease. Silicon Valley will most certainly continue to be the world’s top technological centre. Still, it will no longer be essential for engineers to physically go to the United States, as it did for earlier generations.

Tokens allow for the creation of a new business model: better-than-free.
Google and Facebook, for example, provide beneficial free goods. Despite this, they have been chastised for earning billions of dollars while giving free service to early users.
The token launch concept will offer a technically viable method for software firms (and open source projects in general) to distribute wealth and rally their user base behind their success. This is a better-than-free business model in which consumers profit from being early adopters.

Token purchasers will be like bloggers are to journalists.Tokens will lower the barrier between professional investors and token purchasers in the same manner that the internet did for professional journalists, tweeters, and blogs.

Consequences

Anyone may now become an amateur journalist thanks to the internet. Likewise, millions of individuals will now become inexperienced traders.

As with journalism, some of these amateurs will excel and utilize their token-buying record to break into professional leagues.

Just as it became a professional necessity for journalists to use Twitter, institutional investors of all sizes, from startup funds to hedge funds, will get involved in token purchases.
Similar to Blogger and Twitter, new tools will be created to make it simple for individuals to use, purchase, trade, and discuss tokens with others.

Tokens imply immediate custody without the need for intermediaries.Because token purchasers need to possess private keys to ensure custody, it alters our understanding of property rights. The ultimate arbitrator of who owns what property in tokens is not a national judicial system but an international blockchain.

The ICO method has various helpful features, such as the ability to split or consolidate ICO tokens. In addition, ICO coins, like regular cryptocurrency currencies, enjoy the same anonymity as stable cryptocurrency coins.Coins may be sold or purchased on cryptocurrency exchanges, which will naturally trade in them.

Benefits of contributors over stock ownership while participating in an ICO:

Transparency in money usage, an escrow may be used to check how funds are used after the ICO. In early-stage businesses, early donors will have greater liquidity. Early access to a coin with high capital growth potential. No government organization regulates or registers it.
A novel method of deploying money that protects against political and economic shocks.
An ICO that utilizes existing networks like Stratis, Ardor, and Ethereum taps on a current ecosystem’s network capital.

Contributors are often the first token users; therefore, unlike owning shares in a business whose goods the contributor has never touched, tokens may be more tangible than stocks.
Investing in ICOs may provide returns of up to 1000 per cent, with gains from successes outweighing losses from failures.

STO Blockchain in Real Estate

STO Blockchain in Real Estate

A security token offering of STO is a unique token issued on either a permission or a permissionless blockchain. The token represents a stake in an external enterprise or asset. A number of entities such as the government as well as businesses can issue security tokens that tend to serve the same purpose as bonds, stocks, and other equities. In recent times, STO Blockchain has been readily associated with the real estate industry. Let us now understand STO Blockchain in the real estate industry in detail and how it brings about an improvement in the market.

Concept of Real Estate Tokenization

Tokenization of real estate is the method of representing a fractional ownership interest in an asset with a security token based on blockchain. Here the asset can be a security asset or utility asset. Tokenization of real estate involves the creation of tokens on the Blockchain network and assigning them to assets in the real estate market that is already existing or are presently under construction. Tokenization plays a significant role in helping the asset or fund owners efficiently raise capital by issuing tokens via blockchain platforms.

In addition to being used for the purpose of raising capital towards development investments, these tokens can also denote an interest in the real estate market, thereby allowing a broader range of developers as well as investors to participate in the real estate market. These security tokens can be bought by other investors, where tokens represent a specific amount of shares for some assets in the real estate field. Now, the investors become the partial owners of that particular asset, which provides the investors unique access to private real estate investments, with complete transparency as well as liquidity.

Different Types of Real Estate Tokenization

Different Types of Real Estate Tokenization

Real estate tokenization on a blockchain is usually classified into four types based on the type of assets.

  • Residential Real Estate Tokenization

Residential real estate tokenization involves converting individual residential properties, such as houses, apartments, or condominiums, into digital tokens on the blockchain. This process allows property owners to fractionalize the asset, dividing it into smaller tokenized shares. Investors can then purchase these tokens, giving them fractional ownership of the property. This democratizes the real estate market, making it more accessible for smaller investors to participate in the lucrative residential property sector, which was traditionally limited to larger investors or homeowners.

  • Commercial Real Estate Tokenization

Commercial real estate tokenization is the process of digitizing commercial properties, such as office buildings, retail spaces, and industrial complexes, into blockchain-based tokens. By dividing the property’s value into tokens, investors can buy and trade fractional shares of the property, creating a more liquid and flexible investment environment. This form of tokenization opens up new opportunities for investors to diversify their portfolios and gain exposure to the potentially profitable commercial real estate sector, which was previously limited to institutional investors and wealthy individuals.

  • Trophy Real Estate Tokenization

Trophy real estate tokenization targets exclusive and high-value properties, often considered luxury assets or iconic landmarks. By tokenizing trophy real estate, developers and owners can attract a global pool of investors interested in acquiring fractional ownership. Investors, in turn, gain access to the prestige and potential returns associated with these premium properties. Tokenizing trophy real estate democratizes access to these elite assets, providing a level playing field for investors to participate in the high-end real estate market and potentially benefit from its long-term appreciation.

  • Single Real Estate Tokenization

Single real estate tokenization focuses on tokenizing individual properties, irrespective of whether they are residential or commercial. It allows property owners to digitize their real estate assets and offer tokenized shares to investors. By doing so, they can raise capital more efficiently and enhance liquidity in the real estate market. For investors, single real estate tokenization offers the opportunity to invest directly in a specific property, providing greater transparency and control over their investment decisions. This type of tokenization caters to both property owners seeking innovative fundraising options and investors looking for a more personalized real estate investment approach.

Process of Tokenizing Real Estate

The procedure for real estate STO blockchain can be done in the three steps described below.

1. The first step to follow for the purpose of tokenizing a house, property, or any commercial place is to find an appropriately regulated blockchain platform that possesses the rights to store ownership of their tokens via the proper authorities.

2. In the next step, it is to be made sure that the platform also offers the owner the function of transferring those rights to anyone and transferring the entire ownership to someone else in an authorized way.

3. Tokenization of real estate is a way of exchange similar to any other type of security, where the owner needs to exchange the token for a certain value so that each of the assets can get their proper value represented in the tokens.

4. The entire process of tokenizing real estate is not quite complicated but there might be a few obstacles in the path. Hence, it is recommended to get in touch with an expert before proceeding with the same.

Working Process of Real Estate Tokenization

The process of tokenization helps divide the value of assets in the real estate market into shares or tokens. These tokens denote a predefined share of the underlying asset and they are referred to as security tokens. They can be easily traded at any time and are kept on a digital wallet. The tokenized assets are very securely issued, traded, and settled via a distributed ledger. The technology of distributed ledger existed for about a decade but its true potential in leveraging property management has been brought to light very recently. Distributed ledger technology uses smart contracts for the purpose of validating the ownership of an asset.

The technology’s consensus mechanism offers top-notch cyber security measures for both the issuers as well as investors. Legal complexity is one of the major challenges of launching an STO Blockchain in real estate. In this regard, it is recommended that the issuers seek professional help from an expert in this field since all the legalities need to be met and complied with. Seeking professional help would not only be making the entire process smooth and hassle-free but also avoid costly legal mistakes.

Benefits of STO Blockchain in Real Estate

Benefits of STO Blockchain in Real Estate

STO Blockchain in real estate comes with a wide range of benefits that are discussed below.

  • Offers the Highest Level of Security

STO Blockchain in real estate not only makes the transactions secure but also makes them completely transparent. It has been observed that new technologies are questioned for security but tokenization makes sure to use the highest level of security based on the two following things.

Tokens – They help in promoting security since the investment is digitally assigned to an investor and remains with the investor till the time it is refunded or sold to another person.
Blockchain – Implementation of blockchain technology makes security even tighter.

The data so transmitted is both accessible as well as inaccessible to the ones outside the network which is possible with the help of cryptographic algorithms. The key lies in the fact that the data is decentralized. There is no copying or reversal of the code, and nodes are capable of identifying any attempts to change this code and prevent it from executing. Moreover, data is recorded in a number of places simultaneously, and the door for distributed accounting technologies opens up.

Now, the open systems will help create an entirely transparent register for real estate. The entire data associated with resources is available to everyone. Additionally, the investment is much safer since smart contracts reduce the requirement for the exchange of various documents between each of the parties involved. Most importantly, the paperwork associated with the entire process of completion of a contract is readily simplified because of tokenization. A smart contract is electronically signed which makes it irreversible, hence its content cannot be changed.

  • Immense Flexibility

Tokenization in real estate offers immense flexibility to investors. Anyone can invest a certain amount and possess partial ownership of an asset in the real estate market along with obtaining benefit from the potential profits. Moreover, these tokens can be very easily and conveniently bought as well as sold on secondary markets. The owner of the asset can also sell a part of their assets by issuing tokens. These tokens can be very easily exchanged similar to stocks, with their value oscillating depending on the changing price of the asset. Tokenization certainly offers an advantage over crowdfunding since it allows investors to have instantaneous digital ownership as well as the freedom to sell at any point in time.

  • Easy and Speedy Investment

Limiting any kind of unnecessary expenditures by staying within the legal framework is undoubtedly the most effective optimization option for any kind of activity. Blockchain technology plays a crucial role in enabling the same by the removal of barriers such as bank fees, notary fees, etc. Paying via cryptocurrency helps get over these barriers appropriately. This, in turn, results in enhancing the returns of the investors and at the same time compressing the process of raising capital where the entity manages the investment, thereby streamlining the entire process.
At the time when investments are made with tokens, it readily reduces costs. At the same time, tokens provide greater freedom as the investor can buy a share in real estate and profit from it at any time. The entire process is automated and does not require any kind of unnecessary formalities, thereby making it speedy. The right to an asset in the real estate market can be acquired through the purchase of a token that does not require any kind of changes to the records of real estate.

  • Geographical Barriers are Eliminated

STO Blockchain in real estate helps in the elimination of geographical barriers. Thus, investors regardless of their location can purchase an asset in any part of the world. The investors can benefit from participating in the same and enjoy profits from various housing estates, resorts, commercial properties, or any other irrespective of the time as well as their location.

  • The entry Barrier is Lower

Investing in real estate is always associated with huge sums of money. The high entry amount in real estate investment is precisely the reason why a considerable volume of investors stays away from it. But with the help of tokenization, there is no need to purchase an entire property. Any of the properties can be divided into several thousands of tokens. So, all that an investor requires to do is to purchase only a single token. As a result of asset tokenization, investors can very easily participate in a smaller shareholding structure which is similar to distributed investing. Therefore, tokenization eliminates millions of dollars of investment and can be done with only a few dollars of investment in purchasing a part of any asset in the real estate market. This, in turn, results in a lower entry barrier for investors with lower capital.

  • Diversification is Higher

Tokenization of assets in real estate plays a significant role in diversifying investment strategies as well as assets. With a lower entry amount, investors can buy a number of assets in the real estate market in parts instead of buying only one. It results in the diversification of their investment wallet as well as their sources of revenue.

  • Elimination of Middlemen

STO Blockchain in real estate helps liquidate the secondary real estate market. Hence, the need to deal with formal barriers like bank charges, notarial deeds, and similar others is eliminated. Moreover, blockchain helps eliminate middlemen like agents, lawyers, etc., and reduces deposit fees. Most importantly, it works 24*7 and investors need not worry about time while planning to invest. Also, there is no limit on the number of tokens purchased or traded by an investor.

  • Costs are Lowered for Investors

Tokenizing assets involves much lower costs as compared to the other methods of financing. Moreover, the investors or developers also require a way for raising capital for various projects. Stock markets and bonds have become costly, time-consuming, and complicated. Tokenization, on the other hand, provides a faster as well as cheaper method for holding assets. If any of the real estate developers happen to choose between listing assets on the stock exchange or issuing bonds, tokenization is undoubtedly a cheaper as well as simpler option.

Use Cases of Real Estate Tokenization

Let us now analyze a few of the use cases of STO Blockchain in real estate.

  • Raising Capital for Different Real Estate Projects – STO Blockchain in real estate offers a revolutionary method to raise capital for various real estate projects. Whether it’s for property purchase, construction, expansion, or development, tokenization allows property developers and owners to fractionalize the property’s value into digital tokens. These tokens can then be sold to a broader pool of investors, including retail investors, institutional players, and international buyers. By leveraging blockchain technology, the fundraising process becomes more accessible, efficient, and transparent, attracting a larger number of potential investors and accelerating project development.
  • Selling Existing Properties – Tokenizing existing properties enables property owners to sell fractional ownership stakes to multiple investors, reducing the minimum investment threshold. This increased accessibility to real estate investment attracts a more diverse range of potential buyers, ultimately leading to a quicker sale of properties. Through tokenization, property owners can offer fractional ownership, enabling investors to diversify their portfolios by acquiring stakes in multiple properties and potentially creating a more liquid market for real estate assets. As a result, sellers can benefit from enhanced liquidity leading to increased profitability and faster real estate transactions.
  • Buying Distressed Real Estate – STO Blockchain provides an innovative solution for acquiring distressed real estate assets. Tokenizing distressed properties allows interested investors to contribute capital, collectively transforming the property’s value through renovations, upgrades, or redevelopments. As the property’s value increases, the token holders can sell their stakes at a higher price, generating profits for both the investors and the original property owners. This not only attracts capital for rehabilitation but also fosters community-driven investments leading to revitalized neighborhoods and higher returns for investors.

  • Creation of a Real Estate Marketplace – An STO-powered real estate asset marketplace presents a compelling use case for tokenization. This marketplace can host various real estate properties available for tokenization, allowing multiple property owners to list and sell their assets to a global audience. Through the marketplace, investors can explore and participate in crowd real estate investing by purchasing fractional ownership in multiple properties and diversifying their investment portfolio. Relationship Between Net Neutrality And Cryptocurrency?

Relationship Between Net Neutrality And Cryptocurrency

Net neutrality and bitcoin are two potent ideas that converge in the huge digital space where the virtual and physical collide. Many are questioning the significance of net neutrality concepts in light of the emergence of decentralized technology such as cryptocurrencies. Let’s take a constructive look at this connection. Discover how these technology mainstays interact intricately to navigate the digital world with grace and balance.

What Is Net Neutrality?

Network neutrality refers to the idea that all data on the internet should be handled similarly by all businesses. These include internet service providers (ISPs) and governments, regardless of content, user, platform, application, or device. Thus, net neutrality requires service providers to make sure that consumer’s access to material should not be restricted or slowed down. Net neutrality regulations will impact many areas of the internet and online companies. For example, one source of worry is how it may impact cryptocurrency’s future.

What’s in store for net neutrality?

Before anything can go ahead – either way – the FCC’s litigation must be settled before net neutrality rules can be repealed completely. It is also conceivable that congressional Democrats will gain enough votes to block the proposal via the CRA process.

However, the move would still need to pass another difficult barrier by obtaining enough votes in the House and the Senate. For now, all we can do is wait – and contact our legislators to ask them to preserve the Internet.

What is Cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency promotes a system in which financial inclusion is a reality rather than merely an idea, because of its decentralized structure, cryptocurrency-free money from conventional limitations. It is a lighthouse of financial independence, enabling people all around the world to manage their assets and conduct business without middlemen.

Enter the era of cryptocurrencies, which are upending established financial conventions. It frees cash from the grasp of centralized authorities and is based on decentralization. A new era of financial independence is ushered in by Bitcoin, Ethereum, and their equivalents which provide consumers with complete control of their financial resources and transactions without the need for middlemen.

What Can Cryptocurrencies Do?

Certain crypto wallet development company and altcoins are based on decentralized networks that use blockchain technology to avoid bandwidth limitations an ISP may place on a currency. The future seems promising for these currencies.

Coins based on traditional, centralized network types, on the other hand, may face difficulties. The level of anonymity provided to end-users is an additional advantage of operating on a decentralized network.

Why are ISPs opposed to the concept of Net Neutrality?

Internet service providers are generally opposed to net neutrality, as per the litigation brought against the FCC by different ISPs and telecommunications firms. One of the main reasons for this is the increased efficiency that traffic shaping provides.

ISPs use traffic shaping to provide more bandwidth and connection speed to websites that produce more money and less bandwidth and speed to websites that do not. This approach improves their total profitability while incentivizing them to invest in R&D and innovate in the long run.

Making Use of CRA to prevent the removal of Net Neutrality

Finally, there is another mechanism that may be utilized to prevent Pai’s proposal from becoming law. This is known as a Congressional Review Act, or CRA, a legislative mechanism that enables Congress to reverse a federal agency’s decision with a simple majority vote. However, now that the Senate has been formally notified of the FCC’s plans, Congress has just 60 days to use the CRA process to prevent the removal of net neutrality rules.

Republicans prefer to speak about states’ rights regarding reducing government. Still, they appear much less willing to do so when states challenge the federal government for violating laws that preserve the open internet. It is too early to say if the FCC cases will be successful, but they have shown that resistance to Pai’s proposals is vocal and broad.

The Relationship Between Net Neutrality and Cryptocurrency

Aspect Net Neutrality Cryptocurrency Relationship
Meaning The idea is that every internet request ought to be handled equally, without bias or restriction. Blockchain-powered digital assets enable safe, decentralized transactions.  Relationship to guarantee fully librated accessibility to blockchain systems and platforms, cryptocurrencies depend on net neutrality.
Main Concept Guarantees fair competition for online apps, services, and content Uses decentralized mechanisms to promote transparency and financial independence.   In their respective fields, they both support decentralization, equality, and freedom.
Throttling Effects  Without net neutrality, internet providers can resist access to particular websites or services. Access to bitcoin platforms or blockchain transactions may be slower, which decreases efficiency.  ISPs may favor conventional banking services over decentralized ones in the absence of net neutrality, which would impede the adoption of cryptocurrencies.
Economic Consequences Impacts startups, digital innovators, and online companies that depend on liberated internet access.  Promotes creativity in international remittance and decentralized financial (defi) solutions. By providing equitable access to decentralized exchanges and blockchain apps, net neutrality promotes the expansion of cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrency’s reaction to the FCC’s Net Neutrality Repeal

Cryptocurrency is essentially a reaction to global governments, mega-banks, and mega-corporations misbehaving. This Financial Times headline was inscribed into the Bitcoin genesis block: The New York Times 03/Jan/2009. The Chancellor is on the verge of approving a second bank rescue.

The impact of cryptocurrency on the tech industry exists because financial elites have shown that they cannot be trusted, and today’s FCC decision against a policy that is supported by 81% of Democrats and 73% of Republicans is more evidence of this fact. Bitcoin has evolved into a store of wealth, similar to a Swiss bank account for the ordinary man—but with a higher interest rate (for now). BitcoinCashh was created as a fork of Bitcoin to fulfill the original promise of Bitcoin’s whitepaper and establish a peer-to-peer transaction system that operates outside of the reach of the international monetary system. Ethereum’s goal is to build a decentralized internet in which this FCC decision would potentially have much less of an effect.

So far, nothing out of the usual about a tech meeting in a darkly lit New York City pub. What makes this meeting unique is that additional places around the East Village are linked to the bar’s Wi-Fi-enabled node, enabling anybody in the vicinity to piggyback on all the signals and browse websites only available to others on the network.

It’s a decades-old technology called a mesh network that allows people to browse the internet without using a conventional internet service provider (ISP), and it may be resurrected among blockchain aficionados as the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) prepares to abolish “net neutrality.”

Bitcoin has already significantly impacted Latin America’s economy, as individuals have stored their money in this new digital commodity while their state-issued currency has plummeted in value. For example, during the November 14 coup, the price of bitcoin in Zimbabwe soared. In addition, Bitcoin is a loaded pistol aimed at the skull of any non-US government that does not have its financial house in order. If this dynamic can occur in Argentina, Venezuela, and Brazil, it would only take one major shock to Europe for nations such as Greece, Italy, and Spain to exchange part of their currencies for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the most significant existential danger to banking in human history, and a tsunami of cryptocurrencies is following in its wake to threaten other established regimes. Today’s FCC decision is only beneficial for the free market if you think that corporations like Comcast, Time Warner, Facebook, and others will not participate in predatory tactics that the FCC has now deemed lawful and that Congress will not attempt to reign in those bad actors if they do. If you think that can happen, then give me whatever you’re smoking because this is a major bummer, and I need to escape reality right now. At the very least, we have a new generation of technology that seeks to achieve the same thing, not by modifying your body chemistry but by changing reality itself.

Final Word

Net neutrality is an important principle and an idea that advocates must preserve and support an “open internet.” However, for telecommunications companies and ISPs, it presents an obstacle that harms their profitability.

It is reinforced that such companies spend millions of dollars on lobbying and supporting political campaigns to overturn rules in their favor. Ultimately, the future of net neutrality lies in the hands of leaders and politicians responsible for creating rules that benefit society as a whole.

Fundamentals of High Performance Blockchain ICO

A high-performanceblockchain ICO is a specially designed platform to bring about an improvement in all projects that make use of the structure of a blockchain. The new technology plays a major role in providing the appropriate solution to scalability problems and enhances the speed of bandwidth of transactions. The high performance blockchain or HPB allows the users to go for digital money and transfer the entire document flow of the world to the blockchain. Another specialty of HPB is that it comes with enhanced security and is superiorly quick due to the presence of the unique hardware accelerator. Here are the three major features that a High-performance blockchain ICO comes with.

  1. A TCP/IP Offload Engine or TOE hardware card is connected to the network.
  2. The revamped architecture of the block is launched, which is connected as a standard API.
  3. The new algorithm easily synchronizes with the old network and readily enhances its performance

Problems of Blockchain and Solution Offered by High-Performance Blockchain ICO

We know that the blockchain industry has been troubled with a low TPS or Transactions Per the Second obstruction. Anyone who has been familiar with the industry has in mind that when CryptoKitties obstructed Ethereum, the most popular smart contract platform to the point where it became almost unusable. The occurrence made several people understand that blockchain technology is quite far from a readiness for mass adoption.

Various projects on blockchain take different measures to deal with this low TPS problem. Some of them decided to enhance their performance by significantly reducing the number of nodes, whereas, on the other hand, some are trying to tackle the problem on a software level by the implementation of sharding. All these projects have one thing in common that all of them use conventional hardware which was not at all designed for running blockchain. It is precisely the area where high-performance blockchain differs.

High-performance blockchain or HPB is a product of HPB Foundation and Shanghai Zhaoxi Network Co., Ltd. Zhaoxi was founded in the year 2014 by Xiaoming Wang. It is an innovative blockchain technology research and development company with three offices in Shanghai, Beijing, and Singapore. The company has taken an extremely unique as well as innovative approach for dealing with the TPS obstruction for appropriately balancing the blockchain problem that is about how to be quick enough for enabling mass adoption of blockchain technology but without any kind of compromise in the security or decentralization.

High-performance blockchain or HPB comes with a permissionless blockchain architecture that appropriately blends customized open-source hardware that is the Blockchain Offload Engine or BOE with the software of High-Performance Blockchain. Following the example of how ASIC miners changed BTC mining, or how GPUs brought about a change in the gaming industry, we can certainly come to the conclusion that the creation of dedicated hardware is undoubtedly the most logical step to take for the entire blockchain industry. Even the speed of the internet was enormously increased due to the hardware advancements like ADSL or fiber optics. High-performance blockchain pioneered the birth of successfully designed as well as manufactured hardware that is dedicated to readily increase the transaction speed in blockchain technology.

Characteristics of High Performance Blockchain ICO

Now, let us have a deeper insight into the high-performance blockchain to understand the characteristics or features in detail.

Blockchain Offload Engine or BOE Hardware

The BOE or Blockchain Offload Engine comes with an in-built hardware random number generator for the purpose of keeping the transactions protected and enhancing security. Any kind of malicious occurring on the network would not only have to overcome the software, but also the hardware part of the network. The data in the blockchain is already very well protected, but the presence of this component brings about an additional layer of security to the high-performance blockchain.

The hardware random number generator considers different account variables like temperature or voltage at the time of generating random numbers. It means that the numbers are completely random which is much more secure as compared to the Pseudo-Random Number Generators or PSNGs software programs. These random numbers are able to produce number sequences that cannot be predicted with ease and hence the security provided is very tight when used for the purpose of encryption of data.

A part of the Blockchain Offload Engine is the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm or ECDSA. It is a module that performs verification of signatures at a very high rate and is quite vital for the network to allow the processing of thousands of signatures per second. Other parts of the Blockchain Offload Engine are the MAC module and the TCP/IP Offload Engine or TOE. The MAC module handles the processing of data packets transferred from Ethernet cables and the TOE helps optimize throughout for high-speed Ethernet systems.

As can be understood from the name of the hardware, its functionality is to offload CPU load from the node servers. At the BOE Launch and Reveal event in the year 2018 in July, a live test was performed on two identical servers. One server was with the BOE hardware unit and the other without it. The server without the BOE unit took 40 seconds using 76% of CPU for processing 200,000 inspection data. On the other hand, the server with the BOE unit took only 8 seconds to process the same volume of data by the use of 5% of the CPU. This comes out to about the server with the BOE unit is five times quicker while using only a fraction of CPU, thereby clearly indicating the speed of transactions.

The use of BOE hardware comes with another major benefit. Many projects frequently make use of VPS services for hosting their nodes, thereby adding another layer of centralization. It is because sometimes too many nodes make use of the same VPS service. Now, if any VPS provider has some problems, then several nodes making use of the same would also have problems. Moreover, once the network reaches higher constant transactions per second, the nodes would require to rent more CPU, thereby resulting in the consumption of much more energy and hence involves much higher costs.

In this regard, the high-performance blockchain nodes are highly energy-efficient and incur lesser costs. It is because of the fact that the CPU load’s vast majority is performed by the BOE unit itself. In addition to this, all the high-performance blockchain nodes are obligated to use the BOE hardware. It means that they are not able to use VPS service and that plays a significant role in making the network more decentralized in nature. For the purpose of further optimizing the performance of the network, a high-performance blockchain ICO makes use of a dedicated HPB server network instead of a universal one.

The HPB MainNet was implemented in late September 2018 and is presently run by 118 nodes. It is because of the high-performance blockchain hardware that the network comes with the potential for achieving more than about 5000 transactions per second globally and about 10000 transactions per second in China where most of the nodes are located. This, in turn, plays a crucial role in making the high-performance blockchain quite faster as well as much more decentralized and secure as compared to several competitors that are run by just a fraction of the nodes than HPB along with wasting much more energy. In spite of the fact that the present transactions per second are already superb, the HPB development team has planned to enhance the performance sometime in the near future by a three-step approach listed below.

  1. Further enhancing parallel processing of transactions by the optimization of the organization of data in the transaction pool.
  2. Performing network protocol optimizations for the purpose of streamlining network traffic.
  3. Designing a new virtual machine that runs on the Blockchain Offload Engine.

Node System and Consensus Algorithm

The total number of nodes running on the HPB network is 150. Out of the 150 nodes, 31 of them are High-Performance Nodes and the remaining are Candidate Nodes. It is expected that the total number of nodes will be increasing to 300 in the time to come. Then, out of the 300 nodes, 61 of them would be High-Performance Nodes and the remaining would be Candidate nodes. The high-performance nodes help in proper synchronization as well as block generation. On the other hand, the Candidate Nodes help process transactions. The algorithm allows the nodes to rotate and any of the Candidate Nodes has the possibility to become a high-performing node at any time. Block rewards distribution is as follows.

  • Two-thirds of the block rewards are allocated to high-performing nodes that help generate a new block and all the Candidate Nodes. For each of the blocks generated, the high-performing node responsible for generating blocks gets 35 percent of the block rewards and the remaining 65 percent is equally distributed among all other candidate nodes.
  • One-third of the block rewards are allocated depending on the proportion of community votes that all Blockchain Offload Engine nodes obtain. Here the invitation nodes are left out from this reward.

Allocation of Node – 70 percent of the total allocation of nodes is decided by voting. 6 percent are run by the High-Performance Blockchain foundation and then the remaining 24 percent are issued by invitation.
Another important aspect that makes high performance blockchain ICO unique is that it adopts its own consensus algorithm that is the Proof of Performance. The consensus algorithm considers three key factors at the time of choosing a high-performance node –

  1. Network bandwidth with 50 percent weightage.
  2. Ranking of community voting with 35 percent weightage.
  3. A number of high-performance blockchain coins held with 15 percent weightage.

In this way, all the nodes are incentivized in the highest possible manner so that they can provide maximum performance to the network. High-performance blockchain ICO adopts an inflationary system where the present rate of inflation is capped at 3% of the initial token supply. Once another 150 nodes are added, the rate of inflation will increase to 6% of the initial token supply. Capping the maximum inflation rate to the initial token supply means that the actual inflation will be decreasing every year. For facilitating the adoption and economic incentives, the team of HPB decided that for the first year of inflation, an equal amount of HPB will be burned from the reserve fund. It means that in the first year of HPB, inflation would be zero percent.

Superior Flexibility

Another important aspect of high performance blockchain ICO is that it is highly flexible in nature. It is similar to Ethereum in many ways. The source code of HPB has about 80 to 90 percent similarity. It adopted a similar gas/fee system like Ethereum. Ethereum is open-source software and any software solution adopted by Ethereum would not be very difficult to implement on HPB software along with minor changes as per requirements. It would also be easy for ETH dapps to be migrated to HPB whenever they want higher performance.

HPB is an open-source permissionless blockchain and hence anyone can freely take part in the network to deploy smart contracts. But high performance blockchain ICO does not have its own dedicated language, unlike Ethereum. HPB supports smart contract systems for facilitating hassle-free integration of the existing developer ecosystem. Blockchain’s base layer provides a series of blockchain data access as well as interaction interfaces with the use of JSON-RPC & RESTful API for the purpose of supporting different data applications and development languages. Developers can make use of any major programming languages like Java, JavaScript, .NET, Python, C+, and others. At present, developers can use only Java while the other languages are being worked on by the HPB team.

High performance blockchain ICO supports the mechanism of General Virtual Machine or GVM. Now, the GVM also supports code from other blockchains, thereby allowing much greater flexibility. At present, NEO VM and Ethereum VM are supported. But HPB has the potential to add new VMs as required with its modular design. It means that the dapps on NEO or ETH can easily interact with HPB in cases where high performance is required.

Another interesting aspect of high performance blockchain is that it supports sidechains. It means that core technological updates, software updates or both can be tested on a sidechain before being released to the public. Moreover, HPB is also offering BaaS or Blockchain as a Service providing end-to-end solutions as well as consulting for enterprises wanting to make the most use of blockchain technology for their businesses.

Conclusion

HPB usually takes a very broad as well as a holistic approach towards the blockchain industry. The team of HPB identifies that different entities have different requirements. A game developer has different requirements as compared to a financial institution. A game developer might enjoy developing a game on a public network but a financial institution might not be willing to store all their data on a public ledger. High-performance blockchain ICO comes to the rescue in this situation by taking a hybrid approach. It works as a public blockchain platform where anyone can come and build their dapps.

On the other hand, they can also reach developers who want more freedom in terms of their consensus algorithm, privacy, etc. via their BaaS offering and side chains. This, in turn, allows high-performance blockchain to create a huge ecosystem with an array of entities that can easily and safely interact as well as exchange data between each other. Use cases of high-performance blockchain are simply endless which gives a clear indication about the potential it has that can be explored in the time to come.

Importance Of Tokenization Of Assets

New models are popping up day by day around blockchain technology. One of its largest propagandists is asset tokenization that can play a vital role in entirely transforming the way we look at the financial industry. At present, there are about trillions of dollars locked in assets that cannot be exploited or to which there is very little access.

Different markets like art, real estate, scarce IP, and valuable resources, are primarily owned by institutional investors, thereby allowing very little scope for investment in these markets by the retail investors. Therefore, the retail investors have the only possibility of investing in either debt or equity markets, where there’s high volatility and risk. It is precisely the situation where tokenization of assets comes to the rescue.

Concept of Tokenization OF Assets

Tokenization of assets refers to the process by which an issuer develops digital tokens on a blockchain that represents either digital or physical assets. Blockchain in this regard guarantees that the tokens representing an asset, once bought by any individual, their ownership cannot be erased or changed by any single authority, thereby ensuring that the ownership of that asset remains completely immutable.

By tokenization, any real-world asset both tangible and intangible can be easily digitized. Then they are broken down into minute parts that take the form of tokens. Speaking in a broader sense, a token represents something else, and in this case, each of the tokens represents a proportional part of the digitized asset. It also means that the owner of the token has the associated ownership rights or other types of rights.

Different Types of Tokenized Assets

Tokenized assets are of three types.
  1. Fungible Asset Tokenization –

Each of the tokenized fungible assets is interchangeable and has the same market value as well as validity. Moreover, a fungible asset can be divided into an infinite number of decimal points as per the configuration during their issuance with each of the units having the same value and validity.
  2. Non-Fungible Asset Tokenization –

Non-fungible asset tokens are non-interchangeable, hence cannot be replaced with the same type of tokens because each of them represents a unique value. These assets are usually not divisible. Each of the tokens differs from the other of the same type and possesses unique information as well as attributes.
  3. Tangible Asset Tokenization –

Tangible asset tokens refer to the collection of assets that possess specific monetary value in addition to the general availability in the physical form.

Need of Tokenization of Assets to Deal with the Issues in Traditional Asset Management System

Asset management is the process of producing, procuring, storing, as well as managing all documents related to different assets before, during, and after the procedure of transferring ownership. Distributed ledger technology or blockchain technology could play a crucial role in serving as a single source of truth for reducing mismatches in information. It is an extremely dependable instrument for trading real estate, equities, stocks, bonds, and a number of similar types of assets.

Asset tokenization came into existence because of the current asset management scenario. The current asset management ecosystem consists of different stakeholders, including a number of intermediaries like brokers, investors, auditors, and custodians, thereby bringing about a substantial increase in the overall cost of the process. The traditional asset management system is very much vulnerable to fraud and errors. Additionally, the need for tokenization of assets is to appropriately deal with the following issues in the current asset management system.

  • The present asset management system is dependent on approaches that tend to create a lot of difficulties in accurately identifying the source of error when it occurs. Moreover, the complexity of the management of assets with traditional tokenization also creates hindrances to ensure accountability.
  • Fragmented data storage with the existing mechanisms for tokenization gives rise to the requirement of blockchain tokenization. Each of the parties associated with the transactions of asset management with traditional tokenization has its own data versions due to which difficulties are created incorrectly identifying error sources that tend to rise with the increasing complexity of the processes.
  • Another major issue that is present in the current asset management system is the highly complicated onboarding process. Spiteful agents could support the prolonged duration and slow speed of conventional processes of tokenization. This could give hackers the chance to exploit the vulnerabilities as a result of the complications in the overall process and make use of forged documents or identities for getting on board without any kind of difficulties.

Importance of Tokenization OF Assets

The importance of tokenization of assets is two-fold that is from the point of view of the asset owners as well the investors.

Benefits for the Asset Owners

  • The liquidity of the asset is increased to a significant extent.
  • Liquidated assets ensure that the prices are fair.
  • The cost of asset management is readily reduced which proves to be quite advantageous.

Benefits for the Investors

  • Reduced paperwork for a tokenized property makes it possible for investors to invest smaller amounts in property and hence can benefit from enhanced liquidity via tokenization.
  • Lock-up periods are shorter in the case of tokenization of assets which allows investors to sell the assets with ease in a liquid market.
  • The entire process is completely transparent since blockchain is the technology behind the tokenization of assets where investors can see the detailed history of a holding for making a more informed decision.
  • Identity is secure with the ownership and decentralized identity details kept on the blockchain.

Future of Tokenization OF Assets

Tokenization of assets is all set to transform the entire asset management scenario that exists today. It democratizes ease of access to the markets yet keeping fairness and security intact. The only obstacle at present is the legal boundaries. The creation of a legal bridge between the assets and blockchain or distributed ledger technology requires legal professionals to deal with tax-related as well as cross-jurisdictional problems. Nonetheless, new solutions are quite certain to come into the market, which will eradicate these problems in the time to come.
